When trying to start my visit, it says "Pre-Auth Error". What is that?
What is a Pre-Auth?
In order to provide services, some practices may need to pre-authorize a set amount when you submit a visit request.
This amount varies from practice to practice, but it should be displayed in the terms of agreement on the Confirmation Page when submitting your visit.

Why do I get a Pre-auth error?
As mentioned above, when you submit a visit, a hold is placed on your card for a certain amount.
If you receive a pre-auth error when trying to submit your visit it can be due to:
- Insufficient funds
- Invalid card
- Bank refusing to allow pre-auth
If you receive a pre-auth error, you can try changing your card on file.
